Early Childhood Education and Family Support Minor

Overview

The Early Childhood Education and Family Support Minor prepares students to strengthen young children’s well-being by partnering with families and supporting community-based resources. Coursework focuses on child and family development, culturally responsive practice, and skills for promoting safe, healthy, and stable home and community environments. Students also learn how to collaborate with caregivers and professionals to identify needs, reduce barriers, and connect families to supportive services. This minor complements a variety of majors and supports students who are interested in careers and further study in education, child development, human services, and social work.
